Using PTFE slide glides on furniture can reduce friction, extend the life of the furniture, and make it easier to move. Here are the steps to correctly use PTFE slide glides on furniture:

  1. Clean the surface: Before installing PTFE slide glides, make sure the furniture surface is clean, smooth, and dry. You can use a cleaner or damp cloth to clean the surface.
  2. Measure and cut: Use a ruler or other measuring tool to measure the length and width of the bottom of the furniture. Then cut the PTFE slide glide to the appropriate size according to the measurement results.
  3. Apply the PTFE slide glide: Apply the PTFE slide glide to the bottom of the furniture, making sure it is completely covered. If necessary, you can use scissors to trim the edges to match the appearance of the furniture.
  4. Ensure the PTFE slide glide is secure: Make sure the PTFE slide glide is firmly attached to the bottom of the furniture. You can press the pad firmly to ensure it adheres tightly to the furniture base.
  5. Check the sliding effect: After installation, test whether the furniture can be moved easily. If it still feels inflexible or too much friction, you can try using a thinner or larger PTFE slide glide.

Note that when installing PTFE slide glides, you should follow the manufacturer’s instructions and warnings. Also, make sure the selected material is suitable for the bottom surface of the furniture and the environment where it will be used.
